Ministry leaders register with the site, and build a listing that is separated into searchable traits or components. Then, whenever a visitor wishes to find a place to worship, they search the traits (currently over 25) that are important to them and the ministries that match that criteria are displayed.
“LocateYourFaith.com was created to make finding a place to worship as stress free as finding anything else,” says the creator, Deena V. Tyler-satterfield. “Beliefs, practices, & style can vary greatly even within Baptists, Methodists, Mormons, & non-denominational congregations. People need more information to make the right choice.”
There is also a similar director for faith-based speakers and educators. Listings on the site range from $24.99 - $79.99 per year depending how much information is displayed. In addition to the searchable profile, Locate Your Faith listing holders can upload videos, links to social networking sites, and websites.
Once the beta test is complete, Locate Your Faith will open its doors to the public.
