Alexandria, Virginia - PCT Law Group, PLLC, one of the fastest growing law firms in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, announced today the addition of Malik K. Cutlar to its Northern Virginia office. Mr. Cutlar will serve as the managing member of the Firm’s litigation practice. Prior to joining PCT Law Group, Mr. Cutlar was the day-to-day manager of the civil practice at Arlington-based Albo & Oblon, LLP.
Mr. Cutlar is widely recognized as one of the top litigators in Virginia. He brings a wealth of employment and business tort litigation experience to PCT Law Group. As lead counsel to clients in a broad spectrum of industries, Mr. Cutlar has litigated issues arising under federal employment laws as well as an assortment of business matters including the misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duty, violation of non-compete and non-solicitation contracts, tortuous interference, fraud, conspiracy, and partnership disputes. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Cutlar has represented a number of high-level executives regarding compensation packages and severance agreements. Mr. Cutlar is also a Judicial Council of Virginia Court Certified Mediator.
In nearly twenty years of practice, Mr. Cutlar has earned the praise and respect of his peers. His reputation as a methodical and judicious advocate earned him special praise as a “Super Lawyer” by Law & Politics magazine and a “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business magazine. Additionally, Mr. Cutlar was recognized by Virginia Lawyers Weekly for having secured one of the largest jury verdicts in both 2002 and 2007.
In coming to PCT Law Group, Mr. Cutlar will be reunited with his former Ablo & Oblon, LLP partner Angela France, who joined the Firm in June. “Malik is a talented litigator. Together, Mr. Cutlar and Ms. France will focus on expanding PCT Law Group’s presence throughout Northern Virginia. To accommodate the growth of its Northern Virginia office, the firm will relocate to a new office in the Carlyle District on Duke Street in Alexandria.

In addition to his tenure at Albo & Oblon, LLP, Mr. Cutlar’s prior experiences include four years as a trial attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and three years as an Administrative Law Judge for the New York City Department of Finance.
Mr. Cutlar received his B.A. from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his J.D. from Cornell University.
