This week, ArtTactic is joined in the studio by Matthew Slotover, Co-Founder and Co-Director of Frieze Art Fair and Frieze Magazine.

With the last year's edition taking place in the midst of the world financial crisis, Matthew shares with us his thoughts on what has happened over the last year, and what impact it has had on the art fair landscape.

With the Frieze Art Fair taking place earlier this month, Matthew discusses his impressions on the fair including the sentiment amongst galleries and collectors, the changing pace of transactions and how the reported number of sales compared to his personal expectations.

Also, Matthew addresses changing trends at the fair, including how galleries are curating their booths as well as the geographical breakdown of galleries applying to Frieze. Then, Matthew addresses whether or not Frieze has or ever will consider setting up a second fair outside of London.

Lastly, Matthew discusses why art fairs have become so increasingly significant within the art market over the past few years.
