IGITAL ARTIST GREGG MCPHEDRAIN recently won a guest designer position and is working on the 2009/2010 snowboard skins for FREEBIRD boards. Twelve original illustrations are in production for FREEBIRD boards. “There was plenty of opportunity to try some really experimental design solutions here and I ran with it. The themes; skulls, devil, and fantasy with a ‘grateful dead’ art look was different from what I normally work on. It was wicked fun. I first did my homework on the discussed theme and then gathered my samples, reference and began. At press time I’m still waiting to hear back on the final client choices. lients always talk about needing ‘out of the box thinkers. I am pleased to inform my clients I’ve never knew there was a box. I prefer unfettered solutions that work based on needs, not limitations. There is a difference often missed by client restrictions, and design limitations, not really… Seriously taking the abstract concept, and making it come to life, to work, it’s the ‘creative part’ of the job! Xecutive Producer GREGG MCPHEDRAIN has signed on to oversee the production of the upcoming online 3d animation hybrid, DJ MUNKEE, the Universe’s Bitch! The show will feature real DJ,s music launches and an ongoing ever evolving storyline. The show is the ongoing side story focusing around the loveable but cursed, DJ Munkee.
With the main characters - DJ Munkee, Emmi (the Universe and Munkee’s girlfriend ) saving the world as Munkee puts it. Emmi would probably put it more like “I let him tag along in case I to stop a bullet.“ There is no telling what’s going to happen. it’s guns, the Universe , and the occasional special DJ Guest coming 2010; samples of character development can be seen @ www.mrmacc69.deviantart.com.
