LIBERTY FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PR Log (Press Release) –
Oct 26, 2009 – ARTIST'S SEARCH FOR STEM CELL CURE FOR DAUGHTER CAPTURED IN RAW EMOTIONAL ART EXHIBIT AT WWW.MORGANCHAVOSHI.COM
Morgan Chavoshi's daughter was born in a coma that could have been averted yet left her with severe brain damage. Yasmin, her child, is trapped within a body that can do nothing for itself. Her voice is silenced except for moans and shrieks that tear at Morgan's heart and reduce her to sullen tears. They were forced to leave the United States and travel to countries around the world because of the ban on stem cell treatments in America. Morgan and her husband, spent a fortune in search of the treatment that would give their daughter the life she deserved. Finally, their efforts could do no more good for their child. They now live in a limbo, with their daughter, still unable to speak or live or do the things all children should be able to do. Perhaps a new breakthrough will come in time, if not Morgan has used painting as the vehicle for her pain. The anger, hurt and fear that that this ordeal put Morgan through has been poured into an exhibit - entitled "RAW". "I never asked for this experience and the only way I can deal with the emotions is to express them through my paintings." says Morgan, who became a defacto expert on Stem Cell research after being told over and over again that there was nothing that could be done for her daughter. "The policies in the US made it impossible for us to give our daughter a chance for a normal life so we had to travel the world." Morgan's show is being released in conjunction with a collection of Morgan's work at her online exhibit... www.morganchavoshi.com. Morgan is garnering attention in the art world, especially many from her homeland of Iran, which she left at 14 to come to America. However, Morgan connects most directly with mothers that have gone through what she has. "Only a mother knows the torture that I have been through. My paintings are for them. I know what they are going through, the pain that can not be translated into words." In the last year stem cell research has again begun in earnest in the United States which Morgan sees as a blessing. Even though it does not seem that it will save her daughter from her fate, she believes that huge breakthroughs are coming for those in the future that go through what Yasmin did at birth. Morgan's new show transcends her experience with stem cell research and encompasses victims of all types, whether those suffering because of illness or oppression. "The emotions I feel and what I have experienced make it impossible for me to ignore injustice of any kind." she says as her eyes burn with the same smoldering passion one sees in her paintings.
