Oct. 26, 2009 - PRLog -- North Shields based creative agency Armadillo Creative are reaping the benefits of their hard work and forward thinking with a series of recent account wins. October alone saw the North East agency boost its books with no less than seven new clients across a wide range of business sectors.

Their success has been accredited to a lot of effort in their development of new business in the past few months and exploring new and innovative ways to communicate with other businesses and potential clients. A series of e-marketing campaigns, breakfast seminars, website update and networking, both personally and online, has seen Armadillo’s profile increase. Managing Director at Armadillo, Berry Burgess, said: "We knew that with the economic climate we could either sit tight and wait it out, or be pro-active and ensure survival. We made the decision to invest, increase staff and be pro-active and aggressive in our business development, rather than shrink and try to weather the storm. This strategy has now paid off dividends in so much as we have already had to increase staff levels to accommodate the work demands.

The seven major account gains all have a female hand to them, with key responsibility of the recent client gains being spread across three Senior Account Directors, Anne Woodcock, Rachel Burgess and Pam Stewart.

One of the major account gains is the Royal Quays Shopping Outlet who have appointed Armadillo to design and plan their Christmas campaign including direct mail and outdoor advertising. Judith Ramshaw, Marketing Manager of the Royal Quays, said: "Armadillo demonstrated a lot of understanding of our marketplace with true creative flair. It’s also nice working with an agency right on our own doorstep, and we are all excited by the new campaign."

Armadillo are also designing the branding, website and e-marketing for the first Business Toolkit Event which is to be held at the Baltic on the 3rd December hosted by Caroline Theobald.

Newcastle City Council appointed the agency to design and develop motion visual media for their upcoming conference aimed at encouraging businesses to travel healthier. Act Travel Wise will be taking place on November 23rd and 24th at the Sage. Armadillo will be helping to round off the event for Newcastle City Council and help communicate the messages to the delegates in a refreshing and uplifting way.

In the current economic climate a lot of new and established businesses are looking to take advantage of online shopping. Which is why new account win, Premier Crafts, have enlisted Armadillo to implement a full rebrand and expand their brand online with a fully content managed and e-commerce website. Premier Crafts are a bespoke furniture manufacturer and are taking their product line further, offering discount for trade and special offers online.

Armadillo have also been developing new social marketing techniques to take advantage of Twitter, Facebook and other social media, as well as SEO and E-marketing to get the very best out of online communication for their new clients.

Creative Director, Lee Skinner, was enthusiastic about the increase in work: "It's always great to get new clients, but seven in one month is pretty hectic. It's a great challenge for us as they all need something different, but it's a nice way to work, as it keeps the output varied, interesting, and very creative."

Anne Woodcock, Client Services Director at Armadillo, said: "We've put a lot of work into developing our business so that we can be in a better position to help other businesses and organisations. We have attracted seven new clients, each wanting something different, and even some of our new services. It just goes to show that hard work pays off, and at a time like this, we must all be looking forward and concentrate on being pro-active. The business drive hasn’t stopped there though - we also expect to announce a number of new account gains in the next few weeks as well."
