'I Can't Write Anymore!' Why We Should Believe Our Children's Pleas...

X-rays prove that using a conventional pen/pencil for a long time produces permanent damage to the skeleton. Yet we make children take notes and write exams just when they are most vulnerable because their bones are still growing. It's child abuse!

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct 26, 2009 -
When you squeeze a pen you tense up the writer's cramp muscles, make your flesh mould painfully around the pen and force it down into the side of the second finger where the bone gets traumatized and grows a bump. That's how overstimulated bone responds - just think of a boxer's nose. Since bone is the most slowly recycled material you have the damage for life. It's child abuse!

Easyriter pens and pencils stop you squeezing – see them at http://www.ideasun.com or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIVYauh8RBQ

Developed by Science/Special Needs teacher, John Richards MA(Ed)BSc(Hons), as a result of seeing the pencils that infants were being given, these innovative tools are now selling worldwide. When he was helping his wife to tidy up her classroom, he couldn't believe that the five year olds were being taught to write with oversized pencils. 'But they have tiny hands!' he said, 'It makes no sense!'

Next day Mrs Richards put out a selection of pencils and asked her pupils to try them out and bring her their favourite. They all tried writing with different pencils from the giant souvenir of London one, through the chunky 'infant' pencils, through normal sized pencils down to the skinny one from the spine of a pocket diary. The range included round, hexagonal and triangular. Most of them chose the pocket diary pencil and when asked why said, 'Because it's small like me!'

Accepting this wisdom out of the mouths of small children, John developed the Easyriter pencil which has a core dimension like a diary pencil and fins sticking out to fit the spaces between the fingers and thumb when you hold it in the Tripod Grip. This 'Dentangle' TM profile is extremely comfortable to hold in what experts agree is the best grip but rather uncomfortable to hold any other way. It's the pencil that shows you how to hold it! Being all plastic means that the lead doesn't shatter inside when you drop it and so it lasts rather longer than ordinary pencils.

As soon as you hold one you 'get it' and the reactions of teachers attending exhibitions was jaw dropping. Soon they were being sold around the world and requests for a pen version were coming in from satisfied customers. The company has now responded and produced a refillable pen with the same grip shape and it feels like you are writing with your finger!

For the first time you can have a pen, pencil and sharpener set at £4 including shipping from http://www.ideasun.com
