The unique and innovative ‘DISCover’
bag, which uses unwanted Compact Discs in its construction, has been shortlisted in the prestigious National Recycling Awards for 2009.
The ‘DISCover’
bag is one of four shortlisted finalists in the Recycled Packaging category. The winner will be announced at The Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London, on the 27th of October 2009.

bag, are looking for a manufacturer, supermarket or sponsor to adopt the bag.

bag has been selected to be a finalist”.
The Discover bag is available in two sizes, containing 8 or 10 CDs. All you do is slot your unwanted CDs into pouches in the bag. Not only does it help the planet, and give the bag strength, but they make a stylish statement about your green credentials.
The ‘DISCover’
bag concept is realised using fully biodegradable Jute, a high-strength vegetable fibre.
Unfortunately, it has been shown that CDs which are thrown into landfill sites leach highly toxic BPA into the water system. Uptake of the ‘DISCover’
bag would help to reduce this effect while safer disposal methods are developed. This benefit is in addition to the highly eco-friendly nature of the fibre-bag itself.
