Singer Songwriter David Louthan - Now Available On iTunes
Pennsylvania singer songwriter David Louthan has presented the latest productions to emerge from his studio sessions on the iTunes store, including the heartfelt song ‘For A Friend’ and his Bob Dylanesque straight ahead acoustic ballad ‘Just A Kid’.
‘For A Friend’ contains an important message, which David was keen to highlight with his music, that communication is a key factor in living a fulfilling life, and keeping body and soul together.
David was compelled to write the song, after the tragic suicide of a close friend, and he feels that the encouragement of sharing your problems when things get tough is such an important thing to do, with the line ‘tell me where you’re going and what you’ve been tell me what you’ve done and what you’ve seen’
Another recent addition to his iTunes store, 'Just A Kid' tells the tale of growing up too quickly and succumbing to the pressures of adult life. The song recounts how sometimes we'd all like a day off to spend the day in the proverbial candy shop, reliving those carefree days of our childhood.
David's message in the song 'Just A Kid' reminds us that there's a higher power helping us out in life, which should give us permission that quitting our worries, and taking time out to get in touch with our childlike side wouldn't do us any harm now and again.
David is currently working towards completing his first album of rock and folk influenced tracks from his production base in Palmyra PA USA. As a multi instrumentalist David’s production roles range from drummer to pianist, but it’s on the guitar that he feels most at home.
Talking about his love of the guitar, he says; “I first picked up guitar at age 13, the most attractive thing to me about guitar is the versatility of it, whether I’m just starting to write a song with just an acoustic backing and vocal, or later on in production playing that big guitar hook, the guitar is an extension of the soul in my songwriting”
