Pharma Sampler strikes a new path

“Just one year ago, we hadn’t imagined that the SamFreeglide would ever be in question for other applications than pharmaceutical or food,” stating the product manager, “due to the first class material and surfaces the system is relatively high in price.” However, more and more companies of different sectors and industries are interested in this unique system, especially thanks to its mode of operation and reliability. Felix Obermeyer explains what constitutes the reliability: “The SamFreeglide simply always works, with all solids, powders or granules, and it never jams.” Laying out this system is very easy proven by the fact that there are only 3 basic designs, depending on the pipe size where the sampler is to be installed. Apart from this, the customer can choose options like CIP (Clean in Place), bottle adapter or liner systems for collecting the sample, containment systems, manual or microcontroller initiated actuation and optional ATEX rating.
“Of course our customers can order a custom-made version. But mostly, this is not necessary because standard design covers nearly every demand,” says Felix Obermeyer. “Because of an extensive standardization, we can manufacture the components in larger lots with the effect that the price is coming down.” Many customers appreciate the superior mode of operation and recognize that they safe money because it needs less maintenance. It remains to be seen what other applications the SamFreeglide will conquer. A cement factory is already home for one of these superior pharma systems.
