Branson’s Nantucket is the first Branson lake front luxury resort to announce that handicapped access in their units is a top priority. Operating Manager of Branson’s Nantucket Geoff Petter stated, “Branson is the number one vacation destination in the Midwest and it prides itself on catering to an older clientele. We are simply trying to meet or exceed their specific traveling needs.”
According to Jamie Engel, a current owner at Branson’s Nantucket and popular travel writer for over 20 years, “Every time we’ve gone on vacation in the last ten years we’ve had both small children and my elder mother-in-law with us. At some resorts there were times when we could not participate or enjoy certain resort offerings because it was too difficult for her or the children to navigate the multiple staircases.”
Branson’s Nantucket offers not only full wheelchair access in many of their units, but also elevators that allow everyone to take advantage of the incredible view. “My husband has bad knees and it would be impossible for him to walk up to the Widow’s Peak. Some people don’t understand, but it would just hurt him too much” Engel went on to explain. “Now with the elevators everybody including him and his mom can enjoy everything the resort has to offer.
“Making places accessible to people of all ages and regardless of mobility is a priority at Branson’s Nantucket” stated Petter. “This is a completely new build, not a renovation, so while we are still in the construction phase we decided to completely welcome feedback from both our guests and members so our future units and amenities can be enhanced to maximize their vacation experience.”
The perfect example of this concept becoming a reality is Branson’s Nantucket new five bedroom vacation home. Designed with luxury and comfort in mind it consists of over 5600 sqft on four levels with an elevator that can go expressly to the Widow’s Peak high above Table Rock Lake. These vacation homes are massive compared to the norm and have enough room to host large or multi-generational families. Owners also have the option to split their share since the larger homes boast two separate kitchens. According to Petter, “We built these units specifically to allow our owners the option of splitting their use into separate three bedroom and two bedroom units if they don’t need the entire five bedroom space at different times.”
Branson’s Nantucket’s welcome center is open six days a week and offers all the information currently available. Tours and sales previews are scheduled during regular business hours for anyone interest in the project.
