The McDonough Arts Council continues its Art in the Park series with Christmas With the Arts on Sunday, November 15, 12-5pm, on the McDonough Square. The event is held in conjunction with the Merchants’ Holiday Open House, so businesses on and around the square will be open, as well. It’s a perfect time to get in the holiday spirit, and get a jump on gift shopping, too!
Here’s just a few of the events planned for Christmas with the Arts:
• An eclectic group of artists will be selling their wares on the square, just in time for holiday shopping.
• Blumen Trio will have wreaths and garlands available for purchase. They’ll also offer ideas for making your home a Christmas Wonderland. Register for their drawing to win a prize.
• The Cake House will offer delectable baked goods, and will be taking orders for the holidays.
• A Children’s Corner will feature a table where children can make Christmas crafts and get their faces painted.
• Santa and Mrs. Claus will make a grand arrival at 2pm, and a photographer will be on hand to take photographs with Santa.
• On the stage, at 1pm, the Westridge Dance Center will present a dance performance.
• On the stage at 2pm, the Atlanta Woodwind Quartet will be playing your favorite Christmas music.
