SGIS Awarded Mass Notification Systems Delivery Orders in Support of the U.S. Marine Corps

SGIS announced today the award of multiple Delivery Orders from a multiple award prime contract by the Space And Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic) in support of the U.S. Marine Corps.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Oct 23, 2009 – SGIS, a national government contracting firm, announced today the award of multiple Delivery Orders from a multiple award prime contract by the Space And Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic) in support of the United States Marine Corps.  This contact has a one-year base period and is valid until September 21, 2010.  The total value of the Delivery Orders is over $2.6 Million.  The work, which consists of upgrading existing Mass Notification Systems (MNS) on multiple Marine Corps installations, will be performed at various locations including Marine Corps Air Stations in Beaufort, South Carolina; Cherry Point, North Carolina; Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; Miramar, California; Yuma, Arizona; and New River, North Carolina.

“We are honored to be part of such an important initiative for the Marine Corps,” said SGIS CEO Hany Girgis. “Mass Notification has become a critical and necessary component in the protection and safety of U.S. Marines and other personnel all over the world.”

Under this contract, SGIS will provide the services required for site surveys, design, procurement, pre-installation testing and checkout, project installation and turnover support.  The Marine Corps MNS is designed to rapidly disseminate important force protection information to base personnel and the affected neighboring population.
