Atlanta, Ga (10/23/09) The Atlanta based Dyslexia Institutes of American is pleased to announce they have changed their name to the Reading and Writing Institute. The new name better reflects the organizations ability to diagnose and assist people with reading and writing disabilities, (dyslexia and dysgraphia), as well as those with exceptional reading and writing skills, (eulexia and eugraphia).
The Reading and Writing Institute is a unique afterschool program that gives students the opportunity to stay in their current school while addressing their specific learning needs. Reading and Writing Institute Of Atlanta’s (RWIA) unique approach combines a student specific curriculum, teacher instruction and computer based learning without disrupting the individual’s regular school or work schedule. While dyslexia is the predominate challenge for many students, the new name better reflects all that the company has to offer.
“As our program grew we realized that we needed to direct our attention to all aspects of under addressed language arts students; both struggling and gifted. Our new name better encompasses all that we have to offer and allows us to continue to expand our program”, explains Bill Madigan, Administrator.

“We know many struggling and gifted readers and writers fall through the cracks in our public and private education systems, some alternative programs require students to leave their own school, go to a new school, and then return back to their original school after a few years. This can be traumatic to the student’s self esteem and quite costly. What we offer is an after school program that teaches individuals to be independent, literate learners without loosing the comfort and convenience of their existing school environment”
The Reading and Writing Institute has been successfully treating students for the past six years. They are thrilled to be offering more services to students and look forward to continuing to grow their program. They can be reached online at: www.rwiga.org or by phone at 678-731-9414
