Oct. 23, 2009 - PRLog -- Settle was born in 1986,and raised on Chicago's infamous southside. He grew up a child who kept to himself, yet was very well known and liked because of his unique "I'm nobody but myself" personality.He grew up with both parents in his household,and had a very stable family structure, which undoubtedly, helped him and drove him to stay out of the trouble that so vastly surrounded him in his neighborhood. He always stayed away from the drama and trouble, save for the occasional fist fight at school. Settle has always been a fighter, and very opinionated. Even as a child Settle had a knack for music, when he got his first drumset by the time he was 10. Settle always wanted to do music, he just didn't know where and how yet. It wasn't until Settle's early teens,at 14, when he began to roughly scribble random lyrics during his free time at school. It wasn't until 16, that Settle recognized his potential as an artist, and he took up rapping as a full time hobby and dream.

Settle made his name doing open mics around his hometown Chicago,as well as in Dekalb IL, the town where he attended college for his undergraduate degree, and also the college where he recieved his Bachelor's degree in Media Studies. His battle skills rival that of Ether and Takeover level battles, his singles blend 90's hip hop(golden era) and new age flavor. Settle also made and continues to make his name on the streets doing independent mixtapes. He started out with the Mixin' Bag series when he was 16, after those three mixtapes he moved on to record 7 more mixtapes, being, The Full Course Mixtape, The Release Mixtape, Conviction Driven, Finally Perfect, I'm Not Them:The Mixtape, his darkest most pained work to date "Finally Perfect 2", in late 2008, and his latest and greatest mixtape "Streets Of gold", due out sometime in late 09. Settle is now hard at work on his debut album "The Sickness" set for release sometime in 2010, which is sure to blend all of the sides of Settle that his fans and critics have come to love.

Settle is very well rounded, seasoned, and no stranger to the grind. Hip Hop music needs somebody to carry the crown without faultering, not a rapper who is here today, yet gone tomorrow. Settle Poeton is without a doubt, what Hip Hop music cries out for.
