New-home sales continue to reflect consumers’ sense of urgency to buy now, with Brookfield Homes San Diego reporting six sales and four reservations last week, according to Lora Heramb, vice president of sales and marketing for the new-home builder. Brookfield Homes also closed four homes during Oct. 12-18.
“The federal tax credit of $8,000 for first time buyers expires very soon and the median home price is inching up. These factors contribute to a sense of urgency home shoppers have to buy now,” Heramb explained.
Sales were reported Oct. 12-18 at the following Brookfield Homes new-home neighborhoods:
• Cordova at Windingwalk in Chula Vista.
• Mahogany at Old Creek Ranch in San Marcos.
• Ironwood at Morningstar Ranch in Murrieta.
• Veranda at Morningstar Ranch in Murrieta.
• Serenity at The Estates at StoneBridge in San Diego near Poway.
