New York, NY – The Apogee Foundation has begun its 2009/2010 season by announcing that it will build on its ongoing success in cultivating creative excellence by developing new multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural programs empowering creative artists to achieve their highest potential together on a global basis.

Apogee also partnered with international media and technology firm Aurience Ltd. to enhance the fulfillment of its mission through the use of film, broadcast, recording and interactive media. Joint Apogee-Aurience productions already have created greater awareness of Apogee Awards laureates, increased the impact of Apogee Academy educational programs, and expanded the reach of Apogee Artists performance events around the world. As Apogee begins its 2009/2010 season, the Foundation will focus on transforming gifted creative artists' entire career paths, as well as recreating the types of institutions within which those careers develop. Apogee’s trademark Synergy Programs, offering artists from diverse cultural backgrounds the opportunity to transcend boundaries together, will form a centerpiece of these efforts. In the next stage of these programs' evolution, the Foundation will focus on the power of sacred music, representing the expression of mankind’s greatest vision of itself and of our highest shared values, as a transcendent medium inspiring new levels of understanding among people everywhere. The Foundation also will continue to create new programs where creative artists can achieve their fullest potential together. Apogee is now exploring possibilities for the launch of permanent global creative centers where gifted artists can discover unique forms of expression and the means to share these with each other and with the world throughout their careers. In doing so, the Foundation will integrate the most effective educational and artistic traditions from both East and West to create holistic, multi-disciplinary educational environments.
