The IT training company launched the new Academies in Preston, Sheffield, Bristol, Southampton, Romford and Oxford, bringing its total number of Academies across the country to 23.
This means that the total number of students attending Zenos Training Academies at any one time is now well over a thousand.
Zenos is the UK’s leading provider of IT Support training for 16 - 18 year olds, and the largest Microsoft Training Academy in Europe. Now in its eighth year, its first Academy opened in 2006, its roll out across the country has been phenomenal and there are now 23 Academies that stretch from Newcastle in the North to Southampton on the south coast.
Funded by the Government’s Learning and Skills Council (LSC), Zenos delivers full-time training programmes to young people wanting to get onto the IT career ladder. They also offer post-training careers advice in order to help graduates secure that all-important first job.
Courses at Zenos last for 20 weeks, with two intakes starting in September and February. Programmes are delivered via a number of methods including workshops, one-to-one tutoring and independent study.
Zenos’ programmes are run under the LSC’s Advanced Apprenticeship scheme, and provide students with internationally recognised Vendor qualifications for companies such as Microsoft and Cisco. They also offer programmes that are tailor-made for a number of their clients, including blue-chip companies such as Fujitsu and Xerox. As well as their IT qualifications, graduating students will receive an industry-recognised Level 3 NVQ certificate.
Zenos students also achieve above-average employment levels upon completing their training programmes. More than 80 per cent of Academy graduates will obtain full-time employment within the IT industry, and will typically earn up to 40 per cent more per year than others in their age group.
