CharityGreetings.com, a new London-based company, has developed an exact digital replica to the traditional greeting card. Each digital card sent raises a minimum of £1 for a charity of the sender’s choice and being paper free, it means they are better for the environment too.
The postal strike is a perfect opportunity for consumers to take their wishes into their own hands this Christmas. Charity Greetings give an experience similar to receiving a paper card, so much so that consumers can display them on their personalised virtual mantelpiece, which they can share with friends. The unique technology of the mantelpiece, which has never been used before, is highly intuitive so everyone can get involved.
Charitable giving is down £1.3 billion this year, which is an 11 percent drop year-on-year (Charities Aid Foundation, Sept 2009).
