Wanderlust and Lipstick founder, Beth Whitman, announces the company’s newest women-only tour to Bhutan. This tour is an exclusive small-group adventure that focuses on the culture of the Bhutanese people including their festivals, food and lifestyle. Gals will discover how the country’s religion is integral in making Gross National Happiness the cornerstone of the their philosophy. They will also bear witness to the unfurling of the largest sacred banner in the country – an event that takes place just once a year and is viewable for just a few hours.
Participants will take a Bhutanese cooking class, tour ancient temples - known for their
unique architecture - trek in the pristine Himalayas, hike to iconic Tiger’s Nest monastery and
get to know the gentle spirit of the people who follow a Buddhist way of life. Whitman will be
leading the tour along with a knowledgeable English-speaking female guide who will share insider details of the culture and history of this democratic Kingdom.
Bhutan is a magical and remote destination nestled between Northeast India and Tibet. Few
