This October has seen the birth of a character called “K” who represents the Self-Made-Man Generation. This white lined character (see attached) resides at: www.smmgeneration.com.
For the next two (2) years, “K” will exist as a representation of the SMM Generation. Why only two (2) years? Well, as K states in his book “…it is time for people to stand up and take their lives into their own hands”. Therefore, K is only there to help in the creation of the SMM Generation and to give people the opportunity to unite under the banner of Complete Freedom of Choice.
Complete Freedom of Choice – The Self-Made-Man Generation is a mixture of self-help book, social study and a hymn to freedom.
It speaks of Complete Freedom of Choice and how, by exercising it, in our day-to-day lives, we can achieve ourselves and thus play our own part in the Self-Made-Man Generation.
In the introduction of the book, K explains what it means to be a Self-Made-Man by establishing the five (5) laws of the SMM Generation.
He then goes on, in the first chapter, by defining what is a Self-Made-Man. He speaks of the achievement of the self and the responsibilities that come along. He brushes subjects such as living “here and now”, to be “Men of the World” and the importance of “knowing ourselves”. He also reminds the reader that nothing can stop him/her from self realization but themselves.
After a brief “intermission”
The third chapter reminds the reader that not everyone is thrill to see the Self-Made-Man Generation’s evolution. In “Notes on the Old Guard”, K talks about the influence of the Establishment (politics, religion, media and others) on our society and what we need to be aware as they are watching us grow and will, without a doubt, try to keep us under their way of life while we try to break out.
