Starz FilmCenter brings the Yanomami to Denver

There are just a few days left before we enter the lives and hearts of the people of the rainforest in a feature-length dramatic film, "Yai Wanonabälewä: The Enemy God", at the Starz FilmCenter in Denver.

Oct. 21, 2009 - PRLog -- This coming weekend The Denver Film Society and Denver filmmakers, 10X Productions, will present a limited engagement screening of “Yai Wanonabälewä: The Enemy God” at the Starz FilmCenter in Denver - October 24-25, 2009. This is the theatrical premiere of this award-winning film, produced in partnership with the indigenous Yanomamö of Venezuela.

The Enemy God has been screened at festivals in the U.S. and Europe, garnering multiple awards and nominations. Many people comment on the power and uniqueness of the film.

Here is what Arpa Int’l Film Festival Director, Alex Kalognomos says, "This challenges you. This rewards you. This opens your heart. It took the integrity and the truth that is inherent in documentary film making and put it into a feature film in a way I had never seen before. This is something that is totally innovative about this film."

The film will screen at 7:00 PM on Saturday and 3:00 PM on Sunday. Producers Tom Khazoyan and Matt Castagna will be on hand at the screenings to talk about the film. You can purchase tickets and find more information at: http://www.DenverFilm.org
