Public Communications Worldwide Honored for Marketing and PR Excellence

PR Log (Press Release) – Oct 21, 2009 – Public Communications Worldwide, one of the oldest independent public relations and marketing communications firms in California, is proud to announce that it has been recognized for excellence in marketing and public relations activities in two recent international marketing competitions. Out of thousands of entrants at the corporate, agency and consulting levels, PC/W rose up and captured three Communicator Awards and five Hermes Awards. The awards arrive in the midst of PC/W’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

“I can’t think of a better way to mark our 50th anniversary,” commented Susan van Barneveld, president of PC/W. “We were already excited to be commemorating two business milestones, and these prestigious peer awards give us more to celebrate. However, none of it would be possible without our clients, who present us with wonderful products, unique technologies and fascinating stories. They make our job of creating material on their behalf easy and enjoyable, and this recognition reflects greatly on them as well.”

This year’s recognition continues a string of success for PC/W. The awards and client work are:

Communicator Awards
The Communicator Awards is a program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals, with over 7,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes. It is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “who’s who” of acclaimed media, communications, advertising, creative and marketing firms.

Hermes Awards
Judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, the Hermes Awards recognize creative professionals in conceptualizing, writing and design work. Entries come from creative professionals of all kinds, corporate, agency and freelance alike. The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals was founded to honor “outstanding achievement in the communication profession.”
