A.R. Mays Construction to Build "State-of-the-Art" High School

Located at the NEC of Wade Dr. and E. Jasper Dr., the Gilbert, Arizona project is being built on an 8¼ acre site.  The 71,000 s.f. building is designed in a two story configuration with a basement.  Preliminary site excavation has begun with formal groundbreaking festivities planed from 2-4 PM, Saturday, October 24th.  

Ken Williams, representative for the project’s ownership group said, “The facility is “state-of-the-art” for both academic and athletic purposes.  Students will have a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow on this campus.  The “NBA quality” gymnasium will be a show piece.  A stadium for football, soccer and field sports is also included in the project.”  The privately owned facility is being developed by Melchizedek Real Estate Holdings.  The Scottsdale office of H&S International is the project architect.

“Gilbert Christian High School will be the 20th job we’ve built in the Town of Gilbert over the years,” said Adam R. Mays, President and founder of A.R. Mays Construction.  “The team assembled, including ownership, design consultants, city representatives and our staff, is completely “top notch” like the facility we intend to produce,” Mays added.

“Timing of completion for the new facility was a critical element in selecting the General Contractor for the project.  Additionally, we wanted a contractor familiar with Gilbert City processes.  A.R. Mays Construction’s history of on-time delivery and their great relationship with Gilbert’s building representatives sealed the selection,” Williams said.

Completion of construction is schedule for June, 2010.
