Magnium | Mobile Management signs partner contract with MASS

Oct. 21, 2009 - PRLog -- On 12th October Ron de Ruiter, director of Magnium (www.magnium.nl), and Floris de Klevis, director. (www.massbv.eu) signed a partnership agreement between their two companies.

This agreement furthers the close working relationship between Magnium and MASS B.V. and is a big step for Magnium towards further heightening the level of service offered to clients through the possibilities offered by the MASS solutions portfolio. The MASS offering DME (Dynamic Mobile Exchange) is the most important addition, particularly for Magnium customers who have an eye for Mobile Device Management, security, cost control and who place a high priority on freedom of choice in mobile handsets.

THE “LUXURY” OF SECURITY

Current day mobiles can, naturally, do much more than just calling and the product name “mobile telephone” is no long sufficient. “Smartphone” or “Smart device” comes closer but still doesn’t fully cover all the possible functionality.  

Mobile phones these days are actually small portable pocket computers that you can also make calls with. The complexity of PDA’s, mobile telephones and smartphones makes the care and maintenance of these devices a much harder and complicated task.  

Email, agenda, contacts, documents and company applications can be taken along in your trouser pocket or handbag. Handy and clever. The information on these devices, however, are often highly confidential or business sensitive.  

When a mobile is lost or stolen, the security of this confidential information is compromised leading to problems for businesses and a great loss of productivity from actual loss of information and time wasted.

Security of mobile devices is, and should be, a leading concern for companies. Magnium is also concerned with this and dedicated to working with companies to provide innovative solutions.

THE SMART SERVER

Thanks to Magnium DME (Dynamc Mobile Exchange), its now possible to fully remotely manage mobile devices (through the company itself or through Magnium’s own service team).

The mobile device can be “taken over” by the Magnium DME server so that business sensitive and/or personal information can be deleted, protected or saved.  When a device is lost or stolen, networking is switched off, the Phone can be completely (or partially) wiped and disabled and all email is locked. This ensures that only the rightful owner of the phone can access information.  All other users who attempt to use the phone will not be successful.

KEEPING TRACK OF HOW MOBILES WITHIN YOUR ORGANIZATION ARE USED

In addition to the security features, companies can also remotely see on each phone how much data traffic is being used by employees and control this if necessary. Our solutions provide a responsible “Big Brother” that watches over how companies’ mobile devices are used, provides full management reporting on usage types and levels, and ensures that company security and usage policies are enforced.

QUICK AND EFFECTIVE BUILD

Every customer’s account on the server is built in its own dedicated environment and protected from other customers’ accounts with the option of dedicated servers if required. In this way, new user environments can be quickly created and configured ready for use without large setup investments for individual customers.
