Leading National Certified Public Accountants MBAF Celebrates 40th Anniversary

PR Log (Press Release) – Oct 20, 2009 – Miami – Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP (MBAF) celebrates 40 years of excellence as a leading national certified public accountants and respected global auditing and accounting firm.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Florida-based MBAF, ranked as “Best of the Best,” the list of the top 25 performing certified public accountant firms in the country, for 14 years.  The occasion was noted at a recent event hosted by MBAF’s CEO and managing partner Tony Argiz.

“On this milestone, I’d like to thank MBAF’s founders for instilling the values of friendship and commitment to community that have allowed our firm to come this far,” said Argiz.

MBAF first opened its doors in downtown Miami, Florida in 1969 with a staff of 12.  Today MBAF has 29 partners and a professional staff of more than 200 certified public accountants, business advisors and technology consultants with offices in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Orlando, Baltimore, Boulder and an office in India.

Argiz took the helm as the managing partner of MBAF in 1997, and has since led the growth of the firm from around $8 million to more than $60 million in annual revenue.

“We have come so far in our 40 years,” he said, “yet in some ways we are just getting started. In a profession that is as dynamic as ours, where change is a daily constant, we have the talent, the drive and the smarts to grow and continue to succeed in ways that others dare not dream.”

A fervent supporter of the South Florida community, Argiz has contributed significantly through volunteerism and monetary donations. He recently finished his term as Chairman of United Way of Miami-Dade, and is currently Chairman-elect of the Orange Bowl Committee.  In his anniversary address, Argiz underscored MBAF’s dedication to service.

“We will continue our efforts, as individuals and as a firm, to make our communities a better place,” he said, “to do good for the sake of just doing good and to help where and when we can.”
