Shanghai China, Smart Ventures acts as a gatekeeper for a Philanthropy Green Energy Fund in providing USD $50 million equity line to Chinese Solar company - New China Solar Corporation.
In making the announcement through its Chinese partner in Shanghai, Smart Ventures awarded the Chinese Solar firm a contract for USD $50 million. Smart Ventures representative agent in Shanghai, Mr Michael Xiang advised "this is truly a great investment for the New China Solar Corporation, it will enable them to introduce new and innovative solar products". Mr Xiang went onto advise that "New China Solar Corporation plans to use the funds to introduce highly efficient solar energy products that can be used in third world countries as a alternative use for energy."
Chairman and Founder of Smart Ventures - Mr Brett Goldsworthy advised "Mr Xiang introduced us to this very efficient company which has proven technology far advanced than most. We believe we will see the commercialization of these products into the market place within three to six months". Mr Goldsworthy went onto advise "I sincerely believe the Foundation members of our Green Energy Fund will be pleased with the advancements New China Solar Corporation can make in providing low cost energy to third world countries".
