Hoist Experts has been selling hoist and crane equipment using traditional means since 1969. Starting in Greenville, SC, the company has developed relationships with all major crane and hoist vendors in the United States.
In an effort to build upon their existing reputation as a traditional hoist and crane supplier, Hoist Experts has put its experience in hoist sales and distribution towards reaching a national audience.
“We’ve found customers that visit the website are looking to make an educated decision,” says Paul Wilson, Hoist Experts’ director of ecommerce. “We can tell the internet customer wants to compare one hoist against another, trying to find the best hoist for their application.”
The end result, Wilson figures, is customers getting a better tool for their application. By combining descriptions, manufacturer brochures, detailed manuals, and pricing all on the same site, when the customer makes their purchase, they know what to expect when their hoist arrives.
Now that the site is live, plans are to add content relevant to hoist and crane products. Continuing with the goal of educating consumers, Hoist Experts has already begun adding demonstration videos and how-tos related to the crane and hoist industry, including product reviews, hoist tutorials, and safety write-ups.
Currently, Hoist Experts is offering hoists, balancers, and industrial accessories from manufacturers such as CM, Coffing Hoists, R&M Material Handling, Demag Hoists, Ingersoll-Rand, and Packers-Kromer.
