Halloween Sinners Ball: Rap Horrorfest 2009
Sinners Ball: Rap Horrorfest 2009 is a live music event that gives local artists an opportunity to expose their music to the Arizona entertainment scene. Several acts are scheduled to perform live, such as Ruttown Kru, Neil Z, Ladi Era, Special K Overdose, Tavares Daize, and more.
DJ Hipnotik of Hood Access/Radio Phoenix will be attending the event. She will be interviewing artists and collecting music to build the radio station's local Hip Hop music library. "We only have a few physical CDs lining our shelves," said DJ Hipnotik. "I would like to see the library filled with talented Hip Hop, Rap, and R&B music artists. I will collect and catalog the music. I will also personally review each submission."
Ruttown Records, the presenter of this event, anticipates a large crowd based on the interest expressed. "The artists keep selling tickets and are receiving great feedback," said CEO/Owner, Sheane Rutherford aka S-Rut, of Ruttown Records. "That's great because it shows the artists the support is increasing, not only for my artists, but for all independent music artists in Phoenix, Arizona. I hope this trend continues and build." He added, "Having a radio show that is active in the community and supports independent Hip Hop artists is also a blessing." He's referring to Hood Access Radio Show, which airs on RadioPhoenix.Org.
