These two DeAngelis Studio Rock School bands rocked the Trianon stage from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on October 2nd. The Black Diamonds, who went up first, got the crowd to sing along to 80’s hit, “Eye of the Tiger” and ended their set with the crowd-pleasing rock anthem, “I Wanna Rock!”
Next, Kelly & The Cosmic Noise rocked the audience with old and new favorites and got big cheers with their rendition of Journey’s “Anyway you Want it”. When their set ended a group of teens came up to the stage to see Owner/Teacher Mike DeAngelis and said, “We want to do Rock School!” Kelly & The Cosmic Noise’s large teen following celebrated with them into the night, enjoying the fair until closing.
“What could be better”, said Dennis Marks, father to AJ, singer of the Black Diamonds, “Kids and fairs, they just go together!”
Black Diamonds members, oldest to youngest, Nick Calnan (drums), AJ Marks (vocals), Henry McIntyre (guitar) and Wolfgang Burger (bass) have been a band since January and have been invited to perform many area fairs and events and are ready for more.
Kelly & The Cosmic Noise members, Kelly McLaughlin (vocals), Tim Martin (lead guitar), Jason Scouras (rhythm guitar), Jeremy Cohen (bass)
After the show Black Diamonds and Kelly & The Cosmic Noise members, family and fans could be found enjoying the Topsfield Fair rides, shops and food - one DeAngelis Studio Teacher, Erin Brenner said, “It has been years since I came to the fair - I forgot how great the Topsfield Fair is!”.
