http://www.Tube2Tone.com is pleased to be a partner of the CMJ Music Marathon and Film Festival - http://www.cmj.com - running from the 20th through the 24th of October all over Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York. For four days music fans and industry personnel can check out emerging artists, independent films, and weigh in on various panel discussions.
For the last 29 years the CMJ Music Marathon has been host to such artists as The Beastie Boys, Goo Goo Dolls, and Green Day. This year will once again have an eclectic mix of musical genres. Acts like Type O Negative, Chris Young The Rapper, and Sister Hazel are part of the scheduled acts to be performing at this years event.
15 of those 29 years have been host to the film festival portion of the marathon. In that span such movies as Quentin Tarantino's cult classic Pulp Fiction to Hollywood blockbuster Fight Club have played. This year the scheduled movies includes screenings of independent documentaries and large scale Hollywood creations.
For those with curious inclinations about what Tube2Tone is or how it works can meet the people behind this program at NYU's Kimmel Center on the 9th floor located at 60 Washington Square South. While there, people will be on hand to explain the program and help music aficionados create their own custom ring tones and register them for a Dell Mini.
