FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct 19, 2009 -
TIMOTCA (The International Museum of Twenty-first Century Arts) is an international nonprofit organization founded in 1980 to foster peace and cultural understanding through the universal language of art and to establish the world’s first global cultural center representing the visual and performing arts of some 300 countries and cultures of the world.
TIMOTCA is proud to announce Jana Mashonee’s acceptance as a Goodwill Ambassador and looks to her support as she spearheads TIMOTCA’s American Indian Founding Circle of Angels Membership campaign.

Jana’s recent award at the Native American Music Awards for best song/single “A Change is Gonna Come” highlights her talent as an entertainer and, her acceptance as Goodwill Ambassador for TIMOTCA highlights her passion for her charitable work by supporting TIMOTCA and the “Jana’s Kids” Foundation.

In her own words, “TIMOTCA’s vision is quite simple – to foster peace through the universal language of art.  Through this vision a universal truth is achieved –the solidarity of us all will give us freedom in the world.  Promoting this truth will help us gain the wisdom and cultural understanding that only art can transcend.  TIMOTCA’s goal to establish a global cultural centre and art complex to celebrate the beauty and diversity of art is essential in creating the harmony we strive for in our world.   Please support this organization in any way you can to uplift your spirit and bring about peace that we all deserve.”
Only 300 Ambassador Members of TIMOTCA’s American Indian Founding Circle of Angels will receive a rare work of art from American Indian Artist, Dan Namingha.

Dan Namingha was among five celebrated American Indian Artists nominated by R. Richard West, Founding Director of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of The American Indian and has accepted TIMOTCA’s invitation to represent the American Indians of the United States of America in the TIMOTCA Project, contributing one of his most beautiful original paintings “Passage & Symbolism XI” to the TIMOTCA      permanent collection.

His works are in private collections around the world and in the permanent collection of TIMOTCA. “Passage & Symbolism XI” has been included in TIMOTCA’s traveling exhibition, “Art Beyond Borders” which premiered at United Nations Headquarters under the Sponsorship of UNESCO and has been exhibited at UNESCO Headquarters, Paris, Lisbon and the United States.

For those wishing to join Jana and become a member of TIMOTCA’s American Indian Founding Circle of Angels please visit www.timotca.org or email timotca@timotca.org.
