The famous Terry Fabrics, one of the premier companies to get into ecommerce for their range of soft home furnishings, have increased their presence on the internet. They have launched three more websites to drive home further the advantage of being on the world wide web. These sites are expected to bolster the strong incremental growth that the original Terrys Fabrics registered last year, and set the ground for the initiation of a sub brand.
The intent is to position specific product niches like curtains, curtain poles and blinds through these three sites in the immediate future. In the long run however, it is very much possible that they might add on more sites that would concentrate solely on their main business.
The first such website is due to be launched in the month of October 2009, with the other two to follow soon. The strategy is to take advantage of the festival period running up to Christmas, as this period has been identified as one when homemakers make the most purchases on the internet related to home accessories.
The company, however, believes that it is only by Christmas 2010 that these sites will start becoming profitable, as the markets would only mature by then, though the launch is happening in 2009.
