The online business vertical of Terrys Fabrics, the well known retailer of blinds and other soft house furnishings, gets a further boost with the addition of three more sites. The aim is to encourage the emergence of a sub brand and to provide a sales impetus to the hugely successful current site, which has just seen one of its best years.
Separate promotion of its specific products such as curtains, curtain posts and blinds through these three sites seems to be the marketing strategy of Terrys Fabrics. The company, however, is not ruling out bringing in more sites to support its main money spinner site in the future.
It is after much thought and preparation over several months that this strategy has been unveiled, and the first of these sites will be open to the public in October 2009. The other two sites will follow immediately to reap the maximum gains out of the busy festival period. Experience has shown that a lot of online shopping is conducted during this period.
The company however admits that they will be able to realise the optimum result out of these sites only around next Christmas as they expect the market to utilise the intervening period to fully understand the sites.
