what happening?

Minnesota, surprisingly, is averaging just a modest 116.6 rush yards per game this year. Baltimore is holding opponents to an average of 76 yards per game on the ground. If the Vikings cannot get Adrian Peterson established, the Ravens certainly have the capability to disrupt Favre and the passing game.

Baltimore Ravens star middle linebacker Ray Lewis was fined $25,000 yesterday for a pair of separate infractions headlined by his crushing helmet-to-helmet shot that gave Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco a black eye. Lewis is planning to appeal the fine, and Ochocinco had used his Twitter account to lobby NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to not levy a fine against his friend.

Lewis had zero interest in discussing the punishment from the league office.

"I'm on to Minnesota, man," Lewis said following practice. "I'm not talking about no fine. For what? I'm good, bro."

what happening?

According to an e-mail from a league spokesman, Lewis "unnecessarily struck a defenseless receiver," and "unnecessarily kicked the opponent," during the fourth quarter of the Ravens' 17-14 loss to the Bengals.

Lewis was penalized 15 yards for unnecessary roughness for his big hit on Ochocinco, which aided the Bengals' cause during their game-winning touchdown drive in the final minute.
