Hawaii State Ballet Presents The Nutcracker

The Nutcracker is a ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, composed in 1891-92, and based on The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, a story by E.T.A. Hoffman (1816).

Oct. 18, 2009 - PRLog -- Generations of audiences have enjoyed this perennial Christmas favorite, a charming tale of holiday adventure that follows a little girl named Clara on a fantasy journey through a world of fairies, princes, toy soldiers, and an army of mice. It is appealing to children and adults alike and has been the standard yearly feature here in Honolulu performed by the students of Hawaii State Ballet Company, and directed by Mr. John Landovsky for almost 20 years.

December 11-13 & 18-20, 2009
Friday & Saturday Evening performances 7:00 p.m.
Saturday Matinee performances 2:30 p.m.
Sunday Matinee performances 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Tickets ranging from $20.00- $30.00 with discounts for Military, Children (12 and under) and Seniors (62 and over)
