Japanese Rock Band, ZAMZA, is releasing their much-anticipated first US CD entitled "MANGA ROCK". To celebrate the release, the band will be performing a special CD release show at legendary venue, The Studio at Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street, New York, NY 10003) on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
ZAMZA, an Alternative Rock band formed in 2007, is the culmination of four musicians from two prominent Japanese bands. Bass player, "Banshee Aliouxce" (Yoshihito Onda) and drummer "KOHTA" (Kohta Igarashi) originally hail from the monster band called "JUDY AND MARY", which enjoyed worldwide success and acclaim, generating over $1 billion in sales. Guitarist “Hiroki” (Hiroki Ito) and vocalist “Zinc White” (Jinsei Tsuji) are from a band called "ECHOES", which also enjoyed much success after their 1989 track "Zoo". Zinc is also a well-respected movie director and an Award-Winning novelist. MANGA has already hit the Japanese record stores and is quickly gaining worldwide recognition. This U.S. release will feature a couple of brand new songs and seven remixed originals from the Japanese version. It will be released through Mar Rock Records under its parent label, Mar Creation (Records). ZAMZA has embarked on a worldwide tour playing in countries such as France, Germany, Japan and Korea. They will be hitting U.S. circuit in November of 2009, beginning with their performance at The Studio at Webster Hall.
