The GFWC Sunshine Juniorette Club recently put together stuffed blue bears as one of their community projects. The Blue Bear Project is a national project where service organizations sew blue bears for emergency service workers to take with them on calls. The emergency personnel give the bears to children who are facing trauma, either from an emergency or domestic dispute, in an attempt to calm them.

The Juniorettes will be holding a bake sale at the Suntree-Viera Library on Saturday Oct 24 in conjunction with the Friends of the Library semi-annual book sale. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Suntree-Viera youth library.
The Sunshine Juniorette Club is sponsored by the GFWC Viera Woman’s Club to assist middle and high school girls in the performance of community service. Monthly meetings are held on the first Sunday of the month from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at various locations.
