A security firm local to California has become one of a handful of agencies to offer its security consulting services to the 2010 Winter Olympics. The Winter Olympics are to be held in Vancouver BC in February of 2010. President and CEO of Gideon Protective Services Grant Linhart said "It is an honor and privilege to offer our security services to all those involved in the Olympics". Gideon has recently been accepted into the Winter Olympics 2010 Business Network of approved vendors. Gideon is authorized to offer its security consulting services to ensure their Winter Olympic clients are protected and can travel to and from Vancouver BC safely. "Unfortunately we live in a day and age that if you have increased public exposure issues, especially at large public venues such as the Winter Olympics, you become a target by criminals and terrorists". Gideon agents felt compelled to get involved with the Winter Olympics. They feel it is their duty to assist the Athletes from around the world who will be traveling to Vancouver BC to compete for the Gold. “Their travel plans and their performances should not be interrupted by unforeseen or unplanned events”.
