www.Do1thing.us announces an emergency preparedness toolkit that is designed to help its partners better prepare employees, members and individuals for emergencies and disasters. www.Do1thing.us created the tool kit to help community groups, agencies, associations and businesses spread the preparedness message to the people they serve with brochures, posters, a Power Point presentation and a Partner’s Handbook.
Area emergency manager Steve Lehman, said, “Our partners are the backbone of the do 1 thing program. These are agencies, businesses, and groups that help the people they serve by sharing our simple preparedness message. It’s a simple, cost-effective way for our partners to help their employees and those they serve become more prepared, and keep themselves in business during a disaster.”
The toolkit, available online, focuses on education for disaster preparation. This information is provided completely free online. Do1thing.us hopes to increase the awareness of its mission with the release of this new emergency preparedness toolkit.
“We are grateful for the hundreds of people that have signed up and anticipate significantly growing this year,” said Larry St. George, spokesman for the group. We have added more ways to participate with Twitter, Facebook and our own blog. And we have more tool kits for available to new partners.”
Individuals are encouraged to signup and take advantage of the information available online. Visit the Do1thing.us website, at http://www.do1thing.us. Businesses, local and regional organizations and communities are encouraged to partner with Do1thing by downloading the information from the website and sharing it with those they serve.
