St. Therese School of Albuquerque, NM is taking action to educate students about social responsibility through fundraising. Rather than selling candy and magazines, St. Therese School will be running a fundraising campaign with Koru Fundraising (www.korufundraising.com)
St. Therese School is raising money for future educational programs. Currently, St. Therese Catholic School is learning about the effectiveness of recycling by providing new recycling bins throughout the school for everyone's use, and thinking about setting up a Rain Barrel Water System to reuse water for future gardening projects and other educational purposes around the school.
Last year St. Therese School added a green house to their premises. This year they will be working with native plants, starting plants from seeds and using the greenhouse for Science projects. Proceeds from this fund raiser will go towards purchasing additional equipment and supplies to promote more hands-on learning projects.
If you would like to help support St. Therese Catholic School, please contact the school at 505-344-4479. The fundraiser begins on Friday, October 23rd and will last for two weeks.
