National Fundraising Auctioneer, Karen Lee Sorbo was honored to be the fund raising auctioneer for the Opportunity Partners’ gala event “Jeans to Gems” on Saturday, September 26th at the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest. The evening sparkled with success!
Opportunity Partners supports people with disabilities and other special needs in their effort to improve their self-sufficiency at work, at home, and in the community. Every day, Opportunity Partners provides personalized employment, housing and education services to 1,500 individuals in the Twin Cities with developmental disabilities, brain injury, autism and other special needs.
With more than 300 guests, hardworking volunteers and over 150 auction items, the spirit of the event was warm and welcoming.
The event is anticipated to have raised around $145,000 for Opportunity Partners programs and services. Along with the monetary support also comes the opportunity to encourage new people to join this worthy cause.
