Democratic Professionals Council To Host Dave Aronberg And Kevin Burns At Fall Luncheon

PR Log (Press Release) – Oct 15, 2009 – Referring to State Senator Dave Aronberg, the Orlando Sentinel stated, "If you're looking for new leaders, try starting here."  The Fort Myers News-Press said that Senator Aronberg "is considered to be the strongest consumer advocate in state government." The Naples Daily News called him "the real deal," and Governor Charlie Crist has praised him as "a rock star."

DPC meetings keep Democratic Professionals "in the know." You won't want to miss this event, as you'll also hear from former North Miami Mayor Kevin Burns.  

The newly reorganized Jacksonville Democratic Professionals Counsel (DPCjax), led by President, Maggie Jo Hilliard, has scheduled the Fall Luncheon to be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at the University Club (1301 Riverplace Blvd., 27th Floor, Jacksonville, Florida 32207) located atop the Riverplace Tower (Wachovia Building) where the group will host Florida Senator Dave Aronberg and Former North Miami Mayor Kevin Burns.

To register for the luncheon, log on to http://www.democraticprofessionalscouncil.org, and click “Jacksonville.”  The cost of the luncheon is $25 before October 19, 2009 and $30 after October 20, 2009 or at the door.  If you are unable to attend the luncheon but wish to be notified of future events, you may sign up for the e-mail list at the same website.

The DPC is a statewide organization that networks Democrat Professionals throughout the northeast Florida community and the state.  The DPC welcomes all Florida Democrats to attend this event.

Maggie Jo Hilliard is hopeful that DPCjax will bring Democrats together.  She said, “The ‘DPC’ is an organization that will meet on a quarterly basis to network and discuss political issues affecting our party.  We are not a fundraising organization.  We are a party-building group that will help to increase our individual understanding of issues facing our community, increase face-time with elected officials and give a voice to Democratic professionals in northeast Florida.”
