Hampton, VA – Sorbilite, Inc., a manufacturer of environmentally friendly products and equipment, announced today it is seeking joint venture partners interested in a unique business opportunity for a new patented manufacturing system and its products.
For more than 40 years, Sorbilite, Inc. has been involved in the field of composite processing. Three new products have already been selected, developed, patented, prototyped and test marketed. Full-scale production planning and raw material resourcing has also already been implemented.
“Our focus in partnership is to find companies that want to reduce their carbon footprint on the earth by giving new purpose to reclaimed materials, like wood and agricultural fibers, crumb rubber and plastic,” said Andrew Pohl, president of Sorbilite. “Together we can produce high quality products that fill the daily needs of consumers.”
One new project being launched is the manufacture of an exterior door which can be fireproof, bulletproof and light stable. Its surface is carved for decoration through the molding process to create a variety of styles. Costs compared to the current manufacture of a similar product will be considerably less.
“We want our partners to focus on one product market at a time,” Pohl explained. “This is the smartest and fastest way to recoup the 3 million dollar investment in the shortest amount of time. Once that market is established, they can branch into other avenues.”
Another new project Sorbilite is seeking joint partnership for is the manufacture of high-quality functional, decorative caskets in a single step using the same molding process as the doors. The pet and human caskets, made from recycled materials, are biodegradable, an environmentally friendly alternative to currently available products on the market.
Sorbilite has opened its own manufacturing facility producing “green” home decor and home improvement products. The process combines many conventional manufacturing steps into one streamlined molding process reducing production time as well as high cost labor. Combined with the low cost of the raw material, this technology provides an extremely fast return on investment.
