In a joint press release RTX Telecom América Latina and Tesacom today announces that they have forged at strategic alliance according to which they are going to offer high quality wireless IP networks for voice and broad band data access to satellite telecom operators, telecom operators and corporations throughout the southern cone. According to the agreement Tesacom will integrate, sell and support RTX technologies to existing and new customers throughout the continent.
In connection with the current edition of the FutureCom 2009 exhibition in São Paulo, the two companies will jointly exhibit and promote the solution.
“We are very excited about this new alliance” says Marcelo Marinangeli, as Tesacom MMS Business Manager and in charge of implementing RTX into the Latin American markets. He states: "Tesacom and RTX signed a deal that makes it possible to offer high-quality voice and data with an excellent equality of price, which makes it affordable and accessible to all segments of the market. This solution complements the conventional cable solution and brings it one step further making it possible to offer adequate telephone and Wi-Fi services in remote areas where conventional solutions are not an option".
General Manager for RTX Telecom América Latina Palle Kjaer adds “I am very delighted to see this partnership come together. It seems like there is a perfect match between the wireless technologies of RTX and the expertise and presence of Tesacom”. He continues “I am confident that being able to offer our wireless voice and data solution over a satellite connection is a very good answer to the problem of digital inclusion experienced many places on the southern cone. Tesacom has an excellent footprint with direct presence in most countries in the region, and they are highly capable of integrating our solution with different providers of satellite service, to fulfill most needs for good telephony and internet service to remote locations in Latin America.”
