This joint event is to support these Michigan Veterans programs and to tell the troops “Thank you” for their service and sacrifice.
About the Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America
Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America (MPVA) has served Michigan for 45 years, "making a difference" in the lives of veterans, their families, and the public. They are a leadership organization reaching out on behalf of their members (veterans with spinal cord injury or disorders), associate members, and all people with disabilities to provide the highest possible quality of life in Michigan.
About the Brain Injury Association of Michigan Veterans Program
Since 1981 the Brain Injury Association of Michigan’s (BIAMI) mission has been “to enhance the lives of those affected by brain injury through education, advocacy, research, and local support groups; and to reduce the incidence of brain injury through prevention.”
About The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund
The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund (FWSF) was created to help veterans in Michigan who return from the Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns and find themselves in need of support and assistance. The FWSF is an all-volunteer organization, its members a diverse collection of concerned people from the business and private sectors. Since 2006 when the FWSF started, the country’s view of these wars has changed and the fervor over fighting terrorism has diminished, but the needs of our soldiers have never been greater.
About Operation Never Forgotten
Operation Never Forgotten (ONF) is a national non-profit communications service that connects our military and civilian worlds through non-partisan public service announcements (PSAs). Outdoor advertising has been ONF’s greatest messengers. Our programs ask Americans to appreciate our deployed troops for their commitment to us. They help show Gold Star Families that their loved ones are NEVER forgotten and recognize wounded warriors for their courage at home. Military families need to know that America is grateful for their mission supporting those who protect us.
