How Healthcare, RFID and AIDC tie together

PR Log (Press Release) – Oct 14, 2009 – On Friday August 14th, BRS, one of the barcode experts of Middle Tennessee, was immediately immersed in all the hustle and bustle of the day upon arrival at the trade show floor.  Surrounded by numerous resellers and vendors; BRS scoped out all the New Products, and services that would hopefully add value to BRS’ customers.

The trade show floor proved beneficial with all the new products and companies that had set-up booths however, BRS was mostly interested in the classes.  Employees at BRS signed up for classes that would increase their knowledge for their customer base.  These classes included: Healthcare, AIDC, RFID, and even website building tips.

In the world of RFID, BRS employees discovered new products and new methods to use RFID.  New companies did a breakdown of RFID components like: metal mount tags, fixed readers, and various antennas.  The Healthcare class informed BRS of new ways of asset tracking.  The class entailed real life stories where: RFID, barcodes and Wi-Fi sensors were used for tracking equipment in and out of the operating room.

In the class for AIDC (Automated Inventory and Data Control), BRS representative was enlightened on how many industries use auto collection devices, as well as how they use it.  Plus, some of the vendors from the trade show floor came in for presentations on new products.  In the website class, BRS figured out they were right on track with their website maintenance and building.

After the weekend of VARTECH was all over, BRS not only passed with flying colors but became certified in the world of RFID.
