WHAT: Bob’s Place Restaurant is one of the sponsors of the 9th annual Fall Fashion Festival, which is being hosted by GIFT (Giving Inspiration, Fighting Together). Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit cancer patients through the GIFT program at Stony Brook University Medical Center. The “models” will consist of doctors, nurses and staff members who work with cancer patients.
For the event, Bob’s Place is donating $12,000 in gift certificates that will be in the goodie bags of those in attendance upon leaving the event. Bob Manning, Owner, Bob’s Place, has a special connection with the organization. GIFT Co-Founder Jayne Clark, a Queens resident and a breast cancer survivor, has been friends with Mr. Manning for nearly 25 years. In addition, Ms. Clark has been a longtime customer at Mr. Manning’s restaurant, even when it was still called Gebhardt’s.
