((CALGARY)) - MoboVivo Inc., a software company that enables broadcasters to distribute TV shows on mobile phones, laptops and set-top boxes, today announced that it had unveiled new software at the Summit '09 Cloud Computing Challenge, a solution that repurposes and distributes video to different computing platforms and devices .
"MoboVivo's ongoing collaboration with Cybera, the Grid Research Centre, and the University of Calgary has resulted in some fantastic software," said Trevor Doerksen, MoboVivo's founder and CEO. "Our solutions are already taking video and cloud computing middleware to a rapidly growing new media market."
Summit '09 brings gathers together the world's experts in advanced computing, research and development, and emergent cyberinfrastructure to explore new innovations in the areas of cloud computing, service-oriented networks, virtual organizations, Web 2.0 and Green IT.
This year's Summit, which runs from October 12th to 16th in Banff, Canada has attracted 60% of its attendees from international markets. Prominent speakers include: the USA's Program Director of the Office of Cyberinfrastructure, Manish Parashar, and WIKINOMICS co-author, Anthony Williams.
