Cats know it's important to share scarce resources, and with one in four families requesting assistance from the Oregon Food Bank, the International Cat Show is working to fill their bare cupboards by offering a wide selection of beautiful breeds in competition, who are willing to purr for food and top show honors.
The last International Cat Show in Portland collected 3,739 lbs of food, 2 cans of food at a time, filling 15 55-gallon barrels for the Oregon Food Bank. This year event organizers hope to fill 20 barrels, because the need for food has never been greater.
